Anyone can save a life!

Vinnie Jones showing you hands only CPR

The British Red Cross has launched an initiative to raise awareness that CPR can be a life saver. Even chest compressions alone can make a difference by pumping blood through the body.

They hired Vinnie Jones and came up with a brilliant video clip. Take a minute and watch it.

The Hands-Only CPR method is now considered to be the best way for non-medical professionals or those without first aid training to administer CPR, basically removing the ‘kiss of life’ segment to defer people administering the daunting breath of air that is considered largely off putting for many.

And who ever said the Bee Gees are cheesy

We recently received an enquiry from Lucy Taylor who asked some very broad questions about First Aid tips for babies and infants. We were happy to help Lucy to find some answers.

You can see the results in the latest edition of "maternity & infant" magazine.

Alternatively please click here to the read our First Aid tips for parents.

It is amazing and sometimes scary how little many parents know about safety in the home as well as very basic First Aid techniques.

Our catch phrase we use in our classes is “It is better to know First Aid and not need it than to need and not know it!”
We think it sums it up nicely. So make a difference and attend a First Aid course in the new year!
