This is the Data Protection Policy of First Aid For Everyone. This document explains how we collect and process your personal data.

When you’ve read this, you should be able to understand how and why we collect your personal data on this website, how long we keep it and your rights with respect to any personal data that we hold.

Please note that we will never share your personal details with anyone else for the purpose of marketing. And we will only market to you if you have explicitly consented for us to do so.

How and why we collect Personal Data

We collect personal data from you when you request information from us, when you enrol on a course or make a payment online or when you use the contact form on the website.

We will also collect personal data when you opt in and consent for marketing purposes.  We may collect your name, email address and telephone number.

To assist you with your requests/enquiries the data we collect on the contact form is your name , and email address.  This allows us to communicate with you. If you additionally agree to us marketing to you, we use your name and email to provide you with news and updates relevant to your First Aid.

To process payment and enrolment on courses, the data we collect is your name, email address, home address, telephone number, PPS number (QQI courses only) and PayPal or credit/debit card details. This allows us to process payment and continue to communicate with you or send you important information.


Non Personal Data Collection

We use Cookies for various tasks on the website. Some of these are essential, such as the functionality of our website software, but other cookies such as Google Analytics can be turned off if you wish.

There are two types of cookies used on the First Aid For Everyone website:

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential in order to enable you to move around the website and use its features. These cookies are deleted when you close your browser.

Performance or Analytical Cookies

These cookies collect information about how visitors use our website. We use Google Analytics to track anonymized usage statistics for the site. This data is used to analyse how frequently people visit the site, how the website is found and which pages are most frequently viewed. These cookies don’t collect information that identifies a visitor. This information is combined with data from thousands of other users to create an overall view of website use and is never identified individually or personally. These cookies are only used to identify ways to improve the website.

How long we keep your Personal Data

Contact Form
We routinely delete all email and personal data collected from contact forms 24 months after your last communication with us.

Email Marketing
Your name and email address are kept on our Email Campaign system until you unsubscribe. Once you unsubscribe, this data is deleted. However, we may still hold your personal data from emails, or on other systems – eg Database and Accounting software.

Course Booking
If you have booked a course on the website, we keep the data you submitted, except for credit card details which we don’t store, for 24 months following your course completion.  Please note all course participants must be 18 or over to submit any personal data on this website.

If you are under 18, you must get your parent’s or guardian’s permission before submitting personal data via enquiry forms on our website.

Non personal data
The data collected for our use via Google Analytics is kept for 36 months.  


Who we share your data with

Data collected by our contact form is used solely for the purpose of communicating with you. Where applicable, relevant personal data will be given to an examination body who will request this data in order to verify, document, accredit and/or send on to you your official certifications.

When you make any online payment your credit card details and payment are linked directly to our payment partner PayPal.  Please see their security statement here.


Is your Personal Data secure?

Your personal data resides in the EU and is secured using the most up to date and modern technology. Bear in mind that no system is fool proof. If there’s ever a breach, and we hope that never happens – you’ll be notified by us in 72 hours.


Marketing

We will NOT share your personal data with anyone for the purposes of them marketing to you. And we will only market to you if you have explicitly consented for us to do so and have chosen to OPT in to receive information from us.

From time to time we will send you newsletters, offers and information on upcoming courses we offer via email. You can choose to OPT OUT of this communication at any time should you wish.


Your Rights under the General Data Protection Rules (GDPR)
  • You have the right to retrieve a copy of your personal data in machine readable format
  • You have the right to transfer your data to another provider
  • You have the right to request the removal of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • You have the right to request a restriction from processing your data.
  • You have the right to withdraw your consent to our use of your personal information at any time
  • You have the right to have your request dealt in 30 days of receipt
